Ashwell House has organised several social projects in Romania, Uganda, Kenya, Poland, Estonia and Mexico. These projects are always carried out in cooperation with local NGOs that have a good knowledge of the local needs of the beneficiaries targeted in each case.
The projects bring British volunteers and students from different countries together to work side by side for 2 or 3 weeks in the summer. In preparation, the student volunteers from Britain work with the project leaders helping to raise the necessary funds, acquire a basic knowledge of the languages involved and get to know each other so as to form a balanced team that will work well together.
